The Wieland Werke AG owe their origin to a bell foundry in Ulm, which was taken over by Philipp Jakob Wieland in 1820. The company became a producer of articles in copper and brass of all sorts. The processing and manufacturing technology has been continuously improved, and the Wieland Werke, which in the meantime work with over 100 different base materials, is a leading manufacturer of semi-finished and special products made from copper and copper alloys. Worldwide the Wieland Werke AG and associated companies within the Wieland group employ around 6500 people in more than 30 sites on five continents.
